Overview

Goal: Plate Tectonics Model

Description: Students work with one another to answer the questions: How, where, and why do Earthquakes happen? How can we model and explain plate tectonics to help others understand these processes? Students identify a site of interest that experiences tectonic activity and then conduct the research as needed to create their model. Students have the opportunity to meet with engineers to review their model plans for feasibility and functionality.
