Mark Klopfenstein

Mr. Klopfenstein graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Education, majoring in Political Science and History with a minor in Health and Physical Education. He earned his Secondary School Administrative degree (M.Ed) from Wright State University. He taught and coached at Fairlawn Local Schools for five years before coming to the Northeastern Local School District where he spent thirty-six years, the first twenty-five in the classroom and coaching various sports and the next eleven years as High School Principal at Northeastern High School. Mr. Klopfenstein retired from the Northeastern District in 2011 and currently works part time as an independent contractor for Finishtiming,a computerized cross country, road racing, and track and field timing company. He is also retired from the military after serving twenty-six years in the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Klopfenstein lives just outside Springfield with his wife, Suzanne, and is involved with his church and enjoys running and working out.
